This scheme is for a classical sitting room with a contemporary twist, using rich plum colours toned with paler shades of green and cream.  I have used a combination of linens, silk and velvets to give a variety of textures.  This makes the room stylish but practical.
The Wychwood sofas and the footstool which can double as a table, give a relaxed but stylish feel to the room contrasting with the wood framed Stanway chair.  The Hardwick chair in the velvet stripe gives the wow factor and makes a nice place to peruse the papers.
