A fresh and natural combination of colours and textures enables a classic look to be given a more contemporary twist.
I have been inspired by a beautiful garden vista to create a scheme that allows the ambience of the living room to harmonise with the outside landscape. The softly printed curtain has been bordered in a stunning green silk to frame the views. I have also introduced subtle voile to offer protection from sunlight when necessary. The family room in this converted barn has been furnished with inviting cosy sofas to curl up on in front of the fire, whilst two leather chairs set together with a small lamp table provide an ideal place to sit and read or enjoy a calm and less 'busy' feel, and carpeting throughout this high ceilinged room ensures a relaxed and warm environment.
